Amy Pineo – Owner & Operator

Amy Pineo is the heart and soul behind Pineo’s Pet Spaw, an internationally recognized grooming salon and daycare. With over 20 years of grooming experience and 15+ years of providing top-tier daycare and boarding services, Amy is dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and natural environment for every pup.

As a CCMP3 Master Groomer, Amy holds her grooms to the highest standard, ensuring that each dog receives the best care possible. All of her groomers are CPPS Certified, and the entire staff is PackPro Certified, creating confident and capable daycare & grooming professionals.

At Pineo’s, dogs come first, and Amy treats every pup like family. Her passion for holistic pet care drives her commitment to your dog’s health, well-being, and happiness. Whether it’s a stylish groom or a fun-filled daycare stay, your dog is in loving hands with Amy and her team.

Shelby DeVries - Daycare Manager & Reservation Specialist

Shelby DeVries brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role at Pineo’s Pet Spaw. As the Daycare Manager & Reservation Specialist, she ensures every pup enjoys a safe, fun, and enriching experience.

Shelby is currently expanding her expertise through the Dog Obedience Training program at Penn Foster College and holds a diploma in Veterinary Assistance from Maritime Business College.

She has also completed Pack Pro Training and is certified in Dog First Aid & CPR through Maritime Dog First Aid. With her dedication to canine care and training, Shelby is committed to making every dog’s stay a tail-wagging success!

Camille Janes - Groomer & Reservation Specialist

Camille is a CPPS Intermediate Certified Groomer and QC Studies Certified Dog Groomer, bringing skill and care to every groom. She has also completed Pack Pro Training and is certified in Dog First Aid & CPR through Maritime Dog First Aid, ensuring the safety and well-being of every pup in her care.

As a Certified Raw Dog Food Specialist, Camille is knowledgeable in pet nutrition and always happy to provide insight on raw feeding and supplements.

Outside of work, she loves exploring the outdoors with her husband and huskies, snowboarding, weight training, and staying active in her congregation.

Alexis States - Groomer in Training and Daycare Specialist

Alexis is an Intermediate Groomer and Daycare Specialist at Pineo’s Pet Spaw. She has also completed Pack Pro Training and is certified in Dog First Aid & CPR through Maritime Dog First Aid. She is continuing her education through Canadian Professional Pet Stylists (CPPS), working toward a Master’s Degree in grooming.

Her favorite breed is the Yorkie, but Alexis enjoys working with all dogs. She attended the Groom Expo in Hershey, Pennsylvania, to expand her knowledge of the industry.

Whether grooming or helping behind the scenes, Alexis is dedicated to bringing out the best in every dog.

Emma Ells - Groomer & Daycare Attendant

Emma is a certified dog groomer with a background in cosmetology, bringing an eye for detail to every groom. She has also completed Pack Pro Training and is certified in Dog First Aid & CPR through Maritime Dog First Aid.

She’s trained in bathing, drying, and styling, making sure pups look and feel their best. When not grooming, she’s in the daycare, giving dogs plenty of love and attention.

A graduate of Elevate Beauty (2019), Emma worked as a hairstylist for four years before following her passion for pet care. Inspired by her experience at the Hershey Groom Expo, she’s eager to continue her education and explore grooming competitions. When she’s not with dogs, you’ll find her gaming in her downtime!

AJ Steel-Coke - Daycare Attendant

AJ is dedicated to keeping the dogs at Pineo’s Pet Spaw safe, happy, and engaged while ensuring the facility stays clean and welcoming. She has also completed Pack Pro Training.

With firsthand experience owning a reactive dog, AJ understands canine behavior on a deep level. Their greatest skill is reading dog body language, allowing them to create a positive and stress-free environment for every pup.

Outside of work, AJ is a talented crafter, passionate about textiles, whittling, and stone carving. They graduated from George Brown College in 2021 with a degree in Fashion Construction & Design.

Wendy Busting - Front Desk & Reservation Specialist

Wendy is dedicated to ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of every pet in our care. As the Front Desk & Reservation Specialist, she helps create a welcoming and organized experience for both pets and their owners at Pineo’s Pet Spaw.

With experience working for a dog groomer and walking service during her studies—and a minor in zoology—Wendy brings both knowledge and passion to her role. She is also PackPro Certified, ensuring she has the skills to support a safe and enriching daycare environment. Whether she’s at the front desk handling reservations or in the daycare giving extra love and attention, Wendy is always ready to help.

Outside of work, she loves science, gardening, baking, and spending time with her family and pets.
